Today, February 21, is National Caregiver Appreciation Day.

Across the nation, caregivers provide services that help individuals remain safe, healthy, and independent in their homes. Often this challenging work goes unnoticed. Today we recognize the vital front-line support that caregivers provide every day.

On National Caregiver Appreciation Day, we encourage you to take the time to show your appreciation and thank a caregiver for everything they do. The Wisconsin Family and Caregiver Support Alliance provided several suggestions below:

  • Say “Thank You”
  • Write a letter or card to express your gratitude
  • Offer your help
  • Give them a little gift
  • Give them the day off
  • Remind them to take time for themselves

In the Menasha area? The Wisconsin Family and Caregiver Support Alliance invites you to hear from local caregivers during its press conference at 11 am today at the Fox Valley Memory Project.
